Phasmid Studios/Melbourne University/VCA : artist in residency

David Palliser at Phasmid, November-December 2016

We are happy to welcome the Australian artist David Palliser at Phasmid studios. During his stay, David will be continuing a project that he started during his LIA residency time in Leipzig in 2015, he explains: “I’ll be working on paper, often using a collage method where drawings are torn and holes are cut and the paper and image are reassembled. This give a kind on default spatial jump and rescues lost causes”. In parallel to his visual art work David is a musician, experimenting with improvisations in Saxophone and elementary percussion; he will be performing in Berlin in two venues – Miss Hecker and Noisberg (details on dates and time and addresses will be advertised here shortly!)
